Echoes of Poetry Resounded at Falcon View Campus – Inderjit Singh Jawa

Sambad Sahitya Sangh organized a poetry symposium, “Kavita Milan” at Falcon View Campus in Sector 66, Mohali. Renowned Poet and playwright Suresh Pushpaker from England graced the event as the chief guest, while Acharyakul Sanstha’s President K.K. Sharda attended as a special guest.
The program began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a poetic rendition by Parminder Soni. Poet Prem Vij, who chaired the event, welcomed the guests and participating poets. Suresh Pushpaker recited a special poem for the occasion: “Poetry is eternal, a beacon of light, echoing the history of ages. In the symphony of words, the mind merges, this is the essence of Kavita Milan.”
Parminder Soni’s poem touched upon human sensibilities: “In the dense forests, amidst the chaos of life, I’m hiding, struggling to survive.” Prem Vij’s humorous poem captured the struggles of aging: “I forget my ATM card at home, what a haste!” Vinod Khanna’s ghazal highlighted the importance of friendship: “A few friends recognize me, they know my secrets.” Sudesh Noor’s poem expressed devotion to the divine: “Unaware of how, he stole my heart, making me his devotee.”
Harbhajan Singh’s poem reflected on societal realities: “The fear remains, of Sita being abducted by Ravana, of Draupadi’s disrobing.” Dr. Jaspreet Falak’s poem welcomed the upcoming summer: “In February’s warmth, I sit on the stairs, writing the names of spring and summer in the sunlight.” Vimala Guglani’s poem expressed the longing to forget: “We want to forget you, but can’t, we’re not brave enough to forget the past.”
The event featured performances by various poets, including Dr. Prajna Sharda, Vijay Kapoor, Amarjit Amar, Dr. Vinod Sharma, Dr. Sangeeta Sharma Kundara, Dr. Anish Garg, Rekha Mittal, Pallavi Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh Soni, Shayar Bhatti, Santosh Garg, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Falak, Jyoti Soni, Raj Vij, Amarjit Singh Soni, Ravinder Singh, and Ganesh Dutt.
Chief guest Suresh Pushpaker praised the event, saying, “This poetic gathering is not just a play of words, but a vibrant celebration of emotions that nourishes our cultural consciousness.” Special guest K.K. Sharda appreciated the poets, saying, “All the poems presented today are a vivid reflection of contemporary issues and sensibilities.” The event concluded with a vote of thanks, applauding the success of the poetry symposium.
