Mohali (sursaanjh.com bureau), 18 September:
The Katha of Bhagwat Geeta began at 4 PM, where Kathavachak Pandit Mukesh Kumar Bhardwaj ji narrated the story with great enthusiasm, sharing insights about Lord Krishna’s birth. The katha highlighted Krishna’s teachings and strategic brilliance in the Mahabharata, including how he led the Pandavas to victory against the Kauravas despite being out numbered. The story also elaborated on Bhishma Pitamah’s life and significance.

All the residents were completely absorbed in the devotional songs, dancing and swaying to the beats. A tableau of Lord Krishna’s birth was presented, where a child dressed as Krishna was carried in a basket on Vasudev’s head. Devotees sought blessings by touching the feet of Lord Krishna. Prasad, including sweets, fruits, chocolates, and toys, was distributed to everyone, bringing immense joy to all sangat The kathavachak kept everyone enthralled with his soulful bhajans and story telling. Tomorrow, Govardhan Puja will be celebrated, and the katha will continue until September 20. After the katha, everyone was treated to refreshments.
