21ਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ 22ਵੇਂ ਸਲਾਨਾਂ ਡੋਗ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ
ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ (ਸੁਰ ਸਾਂਝ ਡਾਟ ਕਾਮ ਬਿਊਰੋ), 8 ਮਾਰਚ:
ਪੁਸ਼ਪਾ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਸਿਟੀ ਵਲੋਂ 21ਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ 22ਵੇਂ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਡੌਗ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਡਾਗ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਵਿਚ ਜਰਮਨ ਸ਼ੈਫ਼ਡ, ਲੈਬਰੇਡੋਰ ਰਿਟਵੀਲ੍ਹਰ, ਡਾਬਰਮੈਨ ਪਿੰਨਚਰ, ਅਮਰੀਕਨ ਬੁਲਡਾਗ, ਬੋਕਸਰ, ਰੋਟਵੀਲ੍ਹਰ ਗ੍ਰੇਟ ਡੇਨ ਸਮੇਤ 30 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ 100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਵਿੱਚ 400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੌਕੀਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਨਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਂਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕੋਲਕਾਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਵਿੰਨਦਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾਂ, ਬੰਗਲੌਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਸਵਾਸ ਬੱਸਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਨੋਇਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਡਮ ਖੇਮਲਵਿਸਕਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਊਰੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਕੈਨਲ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਿਤ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦੇ ਡਾ. ਅੰਕਿਤ ਛਿੱਬੜ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੇ.ਸੀ.ਆਈ ਸਿੰਗਲ ਡੋਗ ਰਜਿਸਟ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੈਂਪ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਡਾਗ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਿਦਆਂ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੇਸ਼ ਗਰੋਵਰ ਨੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸੱਭਿਅਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਹਤਾ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੁੱਤਾ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਪਰ ਇਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜੀਵ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਏ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਇਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਤਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੇ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਿਕ ਲਾਭ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਤੇ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਹਾਕਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਜਾਨਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਾਲ਼ ਸਾਡੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ ਦੇਖੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡਾ. ਗਰੋਵਰ ਨੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਜੈਵ-ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਡਾਗ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ ਡਾਗ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ, ਜੱਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਐਗਜੀਵੀਟਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡਾ. ਮੋਨੀਸ਼ ਸੋਇਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ 21ਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ 22 ਵੇਂ ਡਾਗ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਰੀਡਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਸਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

Science City Becomes Hub for Dog Lovers
21st and 22nd All Breed Dog Show
Pushpa Gujral Science City successfully organized the 21st and 22nd All Breed Dog Show, in which over 100 dogs representing 30 different breeds participated. The event featured popular breeds including German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Doberman Pinschers, American Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs, Boxers, Great Danes, Rottweilers, and many more. The event attracted more than 400 dog lovers, who gathered to admire the exceptional qualities and beauty of these beloved animals. A panel of distinguished jury members, including Mr. Avinandan Sharma from Kolkata, Mr. Vishwas Basavaraj from Bengaluru and Ms. Khmelevska from Noida, evaluated the dogs based on their unique qualities, breed standards, and overall presentation. Besides this, Dr. Ankit Chhibber, representative of the Kennel Club of India (KCI), organized a special single-dog registration camp to assist dog owners in registering their pets with the Kennel Club of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Grover, Director, Pushpa Gujral Science City, said, “A dog is the only living being on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.” He added that recent research indicates that owning a dog has significant physical and emotional benefits, as dogs make people happier, healthier and better able to handle adversity. Over the years, the role of dogs has evolved significantly and they have made a remarkable impact on human lives. He further emphasized the need to create awareness among the general public about domesticated biodiversity. In his vote of thanks, Dr. Munish Soin, Show Coordinator, expressed gratitude to all the exhibitors, participants, judges, and dog lovers for contributing to the grand success of the event. He stated that Pushpa Gujral Science City organized the 21st and 22nd All Breed Dog Show to provide a platform for dog owners, breeders, and pet lovers to showcase their pets and interact with fellow breeders and enthusiasts.
